FHC is a nonprofit organization providing affordable and accessible health care to the community of St. Croix. Services provided are family/ internal medicine, general dentistry, pediatric dental services, same day care/urgent care, immunizations, OB/GYN, behavioral health, STD/TB program, pediatrics, optometry, and laboratory. The clinic offers sliding fee discounts based on income and family size to make health care affordable for those who are uninsured or underinsured.
STEEMCC is nonprofit provider of primary health care services on St. Thomas. Services provided include comprehensive primary health care, OB/GYN, family medicine, oral health, behavioral health, internal medicine, immunization and laboratory work. All forms of insurance, including Medicare/ Medicaid, VA and private insurance, are accepted; no one is denied access for inability to pay.
The Department of Health is the public health agency for the U.S. Virgin Islands. The DOH conducts preventive medicine programs, including maternal and child Health, family planning, environmental sanitation, mental health, and drug and substance abuse prevention. It also regulates and licenses health care providers and facilities. St. Croix:
VI SHIP is the Virgin Islands local Medicare source. It provides free information and counseling to individuals, family members and caregivers on Medicare, Medigap and Medicare Rx. The office also refers Medicare beneficiaries to government or community-based organization.
DRCVI is the only territory-wide advocacy organization established by Congress that provides legal services to eligible persons with disabilities in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
VIHA offers the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), which provides monetary assistance (vouchers) to eligible very low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities so they can rent affordable housing of their choice from private landlords.

VITRAN is the territory’s public transit system. It connects riders to a technologically advanced, safe, reliable and affordable surface and water transit system, allowing connections to employment, education, health care and other essential or leisure services. Adults 60 and older and persons with a disability ride for FREE with a valid picture identification. This does not apply to the VITRAN Plus Paratransit Service.
The Family Caregiver Support Program offers assistance to those who care for dependent adults 60 years of age and older and relatives 55 years of age and older who are the primary caretakers of children under the age of 18. The program enables families to care for vulnerable adults at home and minimize long-term emotional and financial costs.
